Child Data and Safety
Production safety practices for parental consent, child data minimization, retention, deletion, AI review, and support escalation.
Parent-Led Accounts
Autism and Friends is designed so parents or authorized adults create accounts, manage billing, add child support information, and approve saved content. Children should use guided child tools with adult setup and supervision appropriate to the child's needs.
Parental Consent Workflow
When an adult creates an account and enters child support information, they confirm that they have permission to manage that information. Parent tools should remain the place for profile details, reports, AI drafts, billing, data export, and deletion requests.
Data Minimization
The app should collect only what is needed to provide communication cards, routines, stories, calm plans, games, progress, and support. Parents should not enter unnecessary private medical records, addresses, school records, emergency details, or other sensitive information unless they understand how it will be used.
Retention And Deletion
Account and child support records are kept while the account is active. Parents may request deletion at crateshipstudios@gmail.com from the account email. Verified deletion requests are targeted for completion within 30 days, except limited records retained for payment, fraud prevention, legal, tax, security, or dispute purposes.
AI And Human Review
AI-generated content is a draft for parents, not medical, therapeutic, or educational advice. Parent approval is required before generated routines, stories, cards, plans, or reports are used with a child. Safety-related reports and support requests are reviewed by a human operator.
Buddy Mode Boundaries
Buddy Mode is guided with large buttons and short calm responses. It does not provide an open text box for children, does not ask for private information, does not tell children to keep secrets, and encourages asking a trusted adult for help.
Support And Escalation
For privacy, account, billing, safety, AI output, or child-data questions, email crateshipstudios@gmail.com. Autism and Friends is not an emergency service. For urgent medical, crisis, safety, or behavioral concerns, contact qualified professionals or emergency services.
