Terms of Use

Last updated May 11, 2026. These terms summarize the expected use of Autism and Friends as a parent-led, subscription-based support and learning web app.

Support Tool Only

Autism and Friends is a support and learning tool. It does not diagnose autism, provide medical care, prescribe therapy, replace a doctor, replace a speech-language pathologist, replace an occupational therapist, replace a teacher, or replace educational advice.

Parent Responsibility

A parent, guardian, teacher, therapist, or responsible adult should choose how the app is used with a child. Adults should review routines, stories, communication cards, AI drafts, plans, reports, and activities before relying on them. Children should not create accounts, purchase subscriptions, or enter private information on their own.

Parental Consent

By creating an account, adding child support information, or using paid features for a child, the adult user confirms that they have authority to provide and manage that information. Parents may request access, correction, deletion, or support by emailing crateshipstudios@gmail.com.

Subscriptions And Trials

Paid access is provided through Stripe subscription plans with the stated trial period and monthly pricing shown at checkout. Stripe Checkout is the source of truth for payment method entry, subscription status, billing dates, cancellation, and receipts.

Refunds And Cancellations

Parents can manage subscriptions through the billing portal when available. Refund requests can be sent to crateshipstudios@gmail.com. Refund eligibility may depend on timing, payment processor rules, account activity, and applicable law.

Parent Helper AI And Buddy Mode

Parent Helper AI is parent-facing and review-based. Child-facing Buddy Mode is guided with buttons and short responses, not an open-ended child chatbot. AI-generated content should be treated as a draft and reviewed before use.

Privacy, Safety, And Human Review

Parents can report privacy, billing, content, or safety concerns to crateshipstudios@gmail.com. Safety-related support requests are reviewed by a human operator. Abuse, attempts to collect unnecessary child data, or use of the app for unsafe purposes may lead to restricted access.

Safe Use

Do not use the app for emergencies, crisis support, diagnosis, treatment decisions, or situations where a child may be in danger. For urgent medical, behavioral, safety, or educational concerns, contact qualified professionals or emergency services.

Changes

Features, plans, content, routes, and backend services may change over time. Material changes to paid access, privacy, or safety practices should be reflected in updated public policy pages.
